Summary:Our client is a manufacturer specializing in Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS), including Medical Device Manufacturing, Microelectronic Assembly, Turn Key Manufacturing, ATE Services, Ceramic, and Flex & Rigid Flex Substrate Manufacturing, and serve a wide variety of industries. At this time our client'soffice located in Victoria, MN is looking to hire a full-time Manufacturing Engineer. This position will work closely with the Quality, Production, Sales, Manufacturing and Engineering teams.
Responsibilities: Identify, justify, qualify, and release new capital equipment to fabricate microelectronic products. Monitor and maintain existing surface mount technology and multi-chip module manufacturing equipment and processes. Define and drive process improvements to reduce labor content, improve throughput, or increase process capabilities or yields. Provide timely problem solving support for product and manufacturing issues. Develop and maintain work instructions and equipment operating procedures. Work with customers, CAD, quality, procurement, planning, and product engineering to ensure timely delivery and quality of product to the customer. Assist product engineering with the implementation of new products, processes, and customer orders. Design tooling and fixturing required to build product. Review customer specifications and develop processes to produce product per customer requirements. Collect, analyze, and manage process data as necessary to maintain and control processes. Other duties as assigned.Requirements: BS in engineering, preferably mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering. Three or more years of experience with SMT manufacturing processes, preferably for the manufacture of medical, military, and/or telecommunication products. Experience or knowledge of SMT manufacturing processes such as stencil printing, component pick and place, solder reflow, epoxy dispense and curing, plasma cleaning, under-fill, die placement and attach, and wire bonding. Experience using statistical tools to perform gage and capability studies, hypothesis tests, and Design of Experiments. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in various computer software, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks (or similar) and statistical analysis (Example: Minitab). Experience or knowledge of the processes used to manufacture ceramic circuit boards a plus.
